The rink, skipped by Robin Brydone, and made up of Ross Whyte, Rebecca Morrison and Leeanne McKenzie, remain unbeaten in pool play in Group A.
They have won six from six and Tuesday saw them take down Italy 9-3 in the afternoon and then Kazakhstan even more emphatically with a 10-3 victory in the evening.
All that means that they are already assured passage to the play-offs while elsewhere in Group A, home nations rivals England downed Germany 4-3 to hand the Germans their first defeat of the competition.
Wales suffered an evening defeat to Italy to put their hopes in real doubt after the morning win over Hong Kong appeared to have reinvigorated their campaign.
Wales skip, Adrian Meikle, commented on the 7-6 win against Hong Kong: "It was really close, we were behind the whole game until the last end.
Their skip was making some fantastic shots in the first three ends, we were creating chances and just not taking them. Then you know he missed a bit in the last end and we took a chance to take the three and win the game.
Elsewhere Czech Republic are well clear in Group C with five wins from five and qualification to the play-offs all but secured after a 7-0 win over France.
Russia are also unbeaten in Group B after victories over both Ireland and Australia, while Denmark are only just behind.
And in Group D it is Norway leading the way while hosts Canada – runners-up last year – are well-placed just behind them after Tuesday's win over New Zealand.
Canadian skip Michael Anderson said: "We're not taking anything for granted yet, but we like the position we're in."
