Peter Sagan enjoyed stage one of the BinckBank Tour as he edged out Laurens De Vreese and Phil Bauhaus in a dramatic sprint finish in the Dutch town of Venray.

Sagan was expelled from the Tour de France after a contentious decision claimed he had clashed with Mark Cavendish during a sprint finish, but he has made an impressive return to action by winning the Tour of Poland stage one in Krakow last Saturday and emerging victorious in the Netherlands a few days later.
It was the 98th win of the Bora-Hansgrohe rider's career with favourite Marcel Kittel unable to challenge Sagan in the closing seconds.
