There is no doubt that Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) will refuse to make it remotely easy for Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) to canter through for glory at the Giro d'Italia 2023. Roglic still has the Welshman very much in his sights, even if he is 29 seconds back. With a time trial to come, Roglic will know that this could be a decisive day in his bid for a memorable triumph at the Giro.

Giro d'Italia Stage 18 highlights - Zana zooms to glory ahead of Pinot

A doozy in the Dolomites. Roughly 5400m of elevation and three peaks above 2000m promise to sap any remaining strength from our brave bunch.
All eyes will be on the intriguing battle for the general classification as Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) attempts to stave off the incessant pressure from the ever-ominous Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) with glory very much in sight for the Welshman.
Five categorised climbs are stitched together with little time to catch a breath. The Passo di Campolongo is immediately followed by the Passo Valparola before the "Holy Stairs" of the Dolomites: the Passo Giau, the Passo Tre Croci and a final slog to Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
