PHOTO: Chris Froome 'rammed on purpose' by motorist on training ride

Three-time Tour de France champion Chris Froome is thankfully okay after tweeting a picture of his ‘totaled bike’ which was the result of an ‘impatient driver'.

Froome took to Twitter to show the damage, with the 31-year-old coming out of the incident unscathed.

The Team Sky rider claims the driver followed him onto the pavement on purpose.

Froome lives in Monaco with wife Michelle and son Kellan, and the tweet’s location of ‘Beausoleil, France’ suggests the accident took place near his home.

Beausoleil borders the Principality of Monaco and sits beneath both the Tête de Chien and Agel mountains.
