Landis fires Geoghegan

LeMond told Landis's doping hearing he had received a phone call from Will Geoghegan late on Wednesday, which he considered a warning against testifying at the 10-day hearing.

Landis's attorney Maurice Suh told the arbitration panel that Geoghegan had been fired by the 2006 Tour de France winner "as of this moment".

LeMond said he had been spooked by the call.

"It was a real threat and freaky," LeMond said outside the court room. "I don't think he [Geoghegan] wanted me to come today. I was shaking and shocked."
