"I'm on good form at the moment," said race leader Nuyens after winning on Monday.
The Belgian, who's still trying to earn a berth in Patrick Lefevere's team for the Tour de France may have to defer to Paolo Bettini, although Nuyens says he's still hungry for more podiums.
"At the national championships I'll be giving my all for Boonen but if the occasion arises, I'll certainly go for a victory".
Lampre's Daniele Bennati, who Monday lost the yellow jersey, also hopes to figure in the final equation.
Expect another quiet day in the peloton for race favourites Jan Ullrich, Michael Rogers and Cadel Evans. Their first chance to make an impact on the general classification will come at the end of tomorrow's stage up the category one climb to Leukerbad.
