A first-year junior, Vos, 17, hammered free on the final ascent of the short-but-taxing 3.1-km long Torricelle climb, the major obstacle on the 14.75 km Verona, Italy circuit course.
Tucked into a time-trial for the line, Vos -- also the reigning Dutch national junior mountain bike champion -- extended her move to a convincing 29 seconds at the finish, plenty of time to savour a race well won.
Vos' victory was the third consecutive Netherlands win in the Junior Women's category, after Suzanne De Goede and Loes Markering in 2003 and 2002 respectively.
