Marijan Griebel, who won FIA European Rally Championship Junior titles in R2 and R5 machinery in successive seasons, has landed more major silverware.
Last Saturday night, the German was honoured as the ADAC Motorsportler of the Year for 2018 following his capture of the Deutsche Rallye Meisterschaft title and his first world championship points.
“To win the ADAC Motorsportler of the Year is the icing on the cake at the end of a great season, which started relatively difficult but took a good turn,” said Griebel. “Together with my co-driver Alexander Rath, the team and my supporter Armin Kremer, we worked hard. This year, I also dreamed of starting at the ADAC Rallye Deutschland in a World Rally Car in the top class, where we also showed a top performance.”
