Dominik Brož can count on some familiar support when he continues his FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship bid on Rally di Roma Capitale from tomorrow (Thursday).
Brož has been the ACCR Czech Team’s lone representative in the FIA European Rally Championship this season but that will change when Jan Černý returns to action in the ERC Junior Under 28 category this week.
But as well as counting on Černý’s experience and advice, Brož heads to Italy on the back of a strong showing on his home event, Rally Bohemia earlier this month.
“After Rally Islas Canarias there was a big break, so we have used Rally Bohemia to be back in the racing rhythm,” said Brož, whose PEUGEOT 208 R2 is equipped with Pirelli tyres. “The event is based in Mladá Boleslav and had 160 kilometres of stages. Rom is a very long and difficult rally, some of the stages are quite similar to the Czech Republic, so we will try to keep our speed from Rally Bohemia and make a good result.”
