FIA European Rally Championship graduates Craig Breen and Stéphane Lefebvre will remain key components of Citroën’s factory line-up in 2018.
Breen (pictured), ERC runner-up in 2015, will contest 10 rounds of the world championship in a C3 WRC, while Lefebvre, the inaugural ERC Junior champion in 2014, will pilot the French make’s C3 R5 in the WRC2 category.
Yves Matton, the Citroën Racing Team Principal, said: “Craig [gave] some very consistence performances. There is room for him to improve and aim even higher. We are convinced that Stéphane will be a good ambassador for the Citroën C3 R5, for which the brand has great hopes. And this programme will allow him to continue to add to his experience and therefore keep improving."
The ERC provides a clear path of progression from national level to the world championship, equipping rising talents with the skills they need to reach the top of the FIA's rallying pyramid.
