ERC Junior Experience participant Laurent Pellier is the winner of the 208 Rally Cup for 2017 following his third place finish on Rallye Terre des Cardabelles in France last weekend.
Pellier, who follows ERC Junior Under 28 event winner Pepe López as a champion of the highly-competitive one-make category, will be enrolled into the Peugeot Rally Academy for 2018, although full details of his prize have yet to be revealed.

“It’s nice to finish on the podium of any rally but, at the same time, it was important to stay out of trouble on this event,” said Pellier. “I don’t think the fact that I have won the championship has sunk in just yet. There is still the Rallye du Var to come in November. Thank you to everyone at Easy Rally for all the work they have produced over the year. My co-driver Benoit Neyret-Gigot did a first-class job, as well, and I want to thank all those who have helped me. Hard work always ends up paying off.”

Pellier had spent the early part of last week in Latvia participating in the latest ERC Junior Experience training session, which included gravel-driving tuition from Urmo Aava and physical fitness assessment.
