ERC Junior U28 driver Åhlin heads Rome Leg Two road order

Fredrik Åhlin will lead the FIA European Rally Championship field into Leg Two of Rally di Roma Capitale on Sunday, as rally leader Alexey Lukyanuk resumes P10 on the road.
Åhlin resumes his battle for eighth place with Toksport WRT’s Chris Ingram separated by only 11.8s in the overall classification and by four minutes in the road order.

ŠKODA Motorsport junior driver Juuso Nordgren follows Ingram fourth on the road, with SEAJETS-backed championship leader Bruno Magalhães and reigning Italian rally champion Paolo Andreucci in tow.

Rufa Sport’s Grzegorz Grzyb will restart his tight battle with ERC Junior Under 28 class leader Fabian Kreim over third place as seventh car on the road, with Kreim resuming eighth.

The overall lead battle between Russian Performance Motorsport driver Lukyanuk and Giandomenico Basso will resume with both drivers heading out P10 and ninth on the road respectively.

Saturday retirees including early ERC Junior U28 leader Nikolay Gryazin, Orange1 Racing’s Simone Campedelli, Łukasz Habaj, ARC Sport driver Aloísio Monteiro, Abarth 124 RGT pair Andrea Nucita and Andrea Modanesi, ERC Junior Under 27 competitor Dominik Brož, ERC2’s Sergei Remennik, Emma Falcón and Sebastian Johansson are all slated for a return to action on Sunday morning.

PEUGEOT Rally Academy talent Laurent Pellier will not return due to engine damage sustained in a crash on Saturday.
