Emma Falcón will not participate in today’s FIA European Rally Championship Qualifying Stage on Rally Islas Canarias, and is working to ensure sure she makes the ceremonial start this evening.
Spanish native Falcón was hoping Rally Islas Canarias would kick start her season, after retiring from ERC championship-opener Azores Airlines Rallye in March with back pain.
However, an unspecified issue has sidelined Falcón and her Citroën DS3 R3T from both this morning's free practice and Qualifying Stage.

“We can’t go to the Qualy, we are waiting for a detail to be at the start tonight,” said Falcón on social media. “We are very sad, but we hope good news today! I want to be at the start!”
Should Falcón be able to participate on Friday, she will line-up her Citroën DS3 R3T last in the running order of ERC drivers, due to missing today’s Qualifying Stage.
