The FIA European Rally Championship is saluting Jan Kopecký and Pavel Dresler after the 2013 ERC champions completed their title-winning campaign in the world championship’s second-tier in Spain yesterday*.
Driving for ŠKODA Motorsport, the Czech pair have excelled in 2018 with five wins from six starts in their Fabia R5. And while class victory eluded them on RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada Rally de España, they still finished second to underline their excellent season.
Several other ERC drivers past and present were in action on the mixed-surface event with triple champion Kajetan Kajetanowicz a fine category fourth for the LOTOS Rally Team, while ERC Junior Under 28 podium finisher Rhys Yates impressed in a strong P26 overall.
*Subject to confirmation of the results by the FIA
