Confirmation that Marijan Griebel will contest the FIA European Rally Championship in a headlining R5 car completes an exciting trio of ERC Junior graduates competing in the top-of-the-range machines in 2017.
Griebel joins fellow ERC Junior graduates, Nikolay Gryazin and Ralfs Sirmacis, in confirming his ERC Junior Under 28 Championship campaign with a prize drive in a World Rally Car on a European round of the world championship in 2018 awaiting the eventual winner.

All three were in action on last season’s ERC finale in Cyprus and served notice of the thrilling battle that lies in store by battling for second place behind leader Alexey Lukyanuk.

The ERC Junior Championship is undergoing an exciting restructure for 2017. ERC Junior U27 is for drivers born on or after 1 January 1990 competing in R2 cars on Pirelli tyres. ERC Junior U28 is for drivers born on or after 1 January 1989 using R5 machinery. The ERC Junior U27 champion receives 100,000 euros to put towards an ERC Junior U28 campaign in 2018.
