Catie Munnings says “it’s fantastic” how quickly she has formed a partnership with new co-driver Veronica Engan.
Norwegian Engan will partner the Peugeot Rally Academy Brit in the FIA ERC3 Championship this season.
However, prior to Monday’s test ahead of the Azores Rallye, they had never been in a rally car together.
“It’s been a really cool day,” said Munnings following the test in her Peugeot 208 R2. “It’s fantastic how quickly it’s all fitted together. I really appreciate the work she has put in and we’ve got a really good rhythm already. It was the first time I’d been in a car since Rally Liepāja last October so we’re eager to get started now.”
Of her target for 2019, Red Bull athlete Munnings said: “Our goal is definitely to continue the progression from last year and keep scoring points.”
