The FIA European Rally Championship-counting 77th Rally Poland has secured title sponsorship from PKN ORLEN as it prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary in June.
Scheduled as round two of the 2021 ERC season from June 18-20, ORLEN 77thRally Poland is also the fourth round of the ProfiAuto Polish Rally Championship (RSMP).

However, it’s not the first time that PKN ORLEN has supported the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, the much-admired organiser of Rally Poland.

Back in 2006 and 2007 the Polish ERC counter ran as Platinum Rally Poland, which is a brand of ORLEN-made top quality lubricants. The next two editions (2008 and 2009) were named ORLEN Platinum Rally Poland, with the latter, as well as ORLEN 74th Rally Poland in 2017, enjoying the status of a World Rally Championship round based in Mkołajki, the event’s home since 2005.

Michal Sikora, President of Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation said: “This year we celebrate a great jubilee of Rally Poland. We are very pleased with the commitment and support of PKN ORLEN, whose activity in the field of motorsport is extremely important for the organisers of the events.”

Support for the jubilee Rally Poland is just one of the many examples of PKN ORLEN's exceptional commitment to the development of motorsport. The company has been associated with grand prix winner and ex-ERC driver Robert Kubica for many years.

In February 2021, the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN car was officially presented at the Grand Theater of the National Opera in Warsaw. It was an unprecedented event, because for the first time in history, a Formula One team presented its car to the world in Poland.

Kubica is also a member of the ORLEN Team, a group made up of leading Polish motorsport representatives.

In addition to the only Pole who has raced in Formula One, the ORLEN Team also includes two-time world champion speedway rider Bartosz Zmarzlik, Kuba Przygoński, who is well known for his Dakar Rally exploits, top rally talents Miko Marczyk and Kacper Wróblewski, plus Wojciech Bógdał, one of the best paramotor pilots in the world.

Since 1999, ORLEN has been supporting the development of young Polish motorsport talents. The current ORLEN Team Academy in karting helps Maciej Gładysz, Gustaw Wiśniewski, Karol Kręt, Karol Czepiel and Tymoteusz Kucharczyk.
