Pellier tames Spanish Tarmac ahead of ERC Junior outing

Laurent Pellier warmed up for his next FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship appearance with a fine second place on Rallye Sierra Morena in Spain yesterday (14 April).

Pellier was using the Córdoba-based event to prepare for the upcoming Rally Islas Canarias. As well as building his experience of his PEUGEOT 208 T16 on asphalt, the Frenchman impressed by beating a host of Spanish championship regulars, including 2017 title winner Iván Ares.

PEUGEOT Rally Academy-run Pellier is tackling the six-event ERC Junior U28 season alongside co-driver and fellow Frenchman Geoffrey Combe. Rally Islas Canarias is up next from 3-5 May.
