Roman Schwedt admits he has plenty to learn during his first season in the Pirelli-supported FIA ERC3 Junior Championship with Team ROMO.
The Azores Rallye marks only the 19-year-old German’s second start on gravel and his first in a front-wheel-drive car.
Following the opening day of reconnaissance, Schwedt said: “The stages are amazing but every corner the gravel is different. In Germany we have long straights, 90-degree corners, we brake late then go on the straight. Here it’s corner and corner and the gravel is changing, you have the fog, it’s really amazing. It’s not easy and I have many things to learn.”
