Marijan Griebel has secured his third championship title in as many years, landing the Deutsche Rallye Meisterschaft in his homeland yesterday.
Griebel won the FIA ERC Junior title in 2016, the ERC Junior Under 28 crown last season and is now the winner of the German championship in a PEUGEOT 208 T16 co-driven by Alexander Rath.

"We wanted to finish well and secure the championship title," said Griebel, who placed second on the ADAC 3-Städte-Rallye to secure top honours. “It's great to win the German championship for PEUGEOT Deutschland and Romo Motorsport, so I would like to thank the team, PEUGEOT and Ronald Leschhorn, who prepared the car as well as ever. I'm overjoyed to be the German champion.”

Griebel follows his mentor Armin Kremer by winning the German championship, a feat Kremer achieved in 1996, 1998 and 1999.
