Yates to bring ERC Junior experience to the world stage

Rhys Yates will use experience gained from his four-event FIA European Rally Championship programme for a major campaign in the sport’s top tier in 2019.

Yates, a podium finisher in ERC Junior in 2018, will contest the world championship’s second division this season, starting with Rallye Monte-Carlo from 24-27 January.

“There is no question that this will be toughest season of my career but, as a driver, I feel I am ready to prove that I have what it takes to compete at this level,” said the Briton, who tackled the ERC rounds in Azores, Italy, Czech Republic and Latvia last season.

Yates is among a number of drivers with ERC event experience on the Rallye Monte-Carlo entry list. Others include:
