Season 2 of the EPT, sponsored by PokerStars.com, is even bigger and better than season one, with a total of 2,009 poker players competing for a prize pool of nearly ten million euros.

On the EPT, you can watch the world's finest players – including 2005 World Champion Joe Hachem – competing in the glamorous casinos of Barcelona, London, Dublin, Baden, Copenhagen, Deauville and Monte Carlo.

The EPT is broadcast on Eurosport (with repeats on Eurosport and Eurosport 2) from 31st March.

EPT season 2 culminates with the euros10,000 Grand Final held in Monte Carlo, the richest poker tournament ever held in Europe with a top prize of &euro900.000 and a prize pool of almost &euro3,000,000.

Deauville

The French Open was has held at the Deauville Casino from 8 – 11 February 2006. 434 players each contributed €4,000 to the €1,736,000 prize pool.

Finale in Monaco

The EPT Grand Final was has held at the Monte Carlo Bay Resort from 7 – 11 March 2006. 298 players each contributed €10,000 to the €2,980,000 prize pool.
