Radionova wins maiden Grand Prix title at Skate America

Russian Elena Radionova picked up her first Grand Prix title as she claimed women's Skate America gold in Chicago.
Radionova headed back out onto the ice sitting second after the short program, compatriot Elizaveta TukTamysheva leading the way.
However, Radionova was not about to throw in the towel, scoring an impressive 129.90 for her free skate routine to leapfrog TukTamysheva into first place.
Tuktamysheva had to settle for second while home crowd favourite Gracie Gold finished third.
Earlier in the day there had been more for the Russian fans to celebrate as Yuko Kavaguti and Alexander Smirnov comfortably picked up the pairs title.
The Russian duo led after the short program and were in no mood to relinquish top spot, once again top-scoring after the short program to take the victory with a score of 209.16.
Americans Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier were second with 183.84, while China's Cheng Peng and Hao Zhang finished third with 182.43.
