Bolliger Team Switzerland have presented their new line-up. Roman Stamm and Nigel Walraven will be partnered by Jan Bühn and Jesper Pellijeff at the 24 Heures Motos.
Sébastien Suchet’s departure due to his recruitment by Tati Team Beaujolais Racing compelled Bolliger Team Switzerland to reconstruct a line-up capable of maintaining their status as one of the top-ranking independent teams in the FIM Endurance World Championship.
The Swiss team made the decision to recruit German rider Jan Bühn. The 28-year-old rider has valuable experience of endurance racing, having already ridden Bollinger’s Kawasaki at the Bol d’Or last September. He won Germany’s IDM Supersport Championship in 2015, and also regularly races in the IDM Superbike Championship.
Jan Bühn will ride Bolliger Team Switzerland’s Kawasaki ZX-10R together with the team’s long-time mainstay, Swiss rider Roman Stamm, who has announced this will be his last season, and Dutch rider Nigel Walraven, the winner of the 2017 and 2018 Dutch Superbike Championship, who joined the Swiss team last season.
The veteran team – created in the 1980s by Hanspeter Bolliger and managed by him ever since – have also recruited a very young rider to round off their line-up this season. Swedish rider Jesper Pellijeff, 20, has joined Bolliger Team Switzerland.
