GERT56’s rider line-up for the 24 Heures Motos has been thrown into disarray. The German team have roped in Pepijn Bijsterbosch to step in for an injured Stefan Kerschbaumer alongside Julian Puffe and Lucy Glöckner on the BMW #56.
GERT 56 have had to reshuffle their rider trio for the 24 Heures Motos. After sustaining a shoulder injury on the eve of the German squad’s tests in Spain, Stefan Kerschbaumer has withdrawn and given up his place in the saddle of the BMW S1000RR #56 to Dutch rider Pepijn Bijsterbosch.
Pepijn Bijsterbosch has already made his mark in Endurance. He carried off the Superstock class win at the 2018 24 Heures Motos with 3ART-Moto Team 95, and finished 7th in the German IDM Superbike championship in 2018.
He will make his maiden run on the GERT56 BMW with teammates Julian Puffe and Lucy Glöckner.
The German squad’s goal is to consolidate their Superstock leadership after their victory in class at the Bol d’Or last September.
