Last season’s FIM EWC Superstock World Cup winner Yamaha Viltaïs Experiences will be fielding a new team at the 24 Heures Motos.
After picking up several podium spots in the Superstock class last year, Yamaha Viltaïs Experiences capped off the 2016-2017 season with the FIM EWC World Cup win. However, the team got off to a shaky start in the 2017-2018 season, throwing in the towel at the Bol d’Or last September.
But Yannick Lucot’s squad still have their eyes firmly fixed on a fresh Superstock World Cup win, and are back with a new rider quartet.
Axel Maurin and Florian Alt, two of the riders who took the Yamaha #333 to the win in 2017, will team up with Vincent Lonbois and Johan Nigon starting from the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans on 21 and 22 April.
Belgian rider Vincent Lonbois got himself noticed at the German Superbike (IDM) in 2017. He will make his FIM EWC debut at Le Mans.
Frenchman Johan Nigon is back with Yamaha Viltaïs Experiences after riding the #333 in 2014. And he was on the top step of the podium for Moto Ain after the 2016 Bol d’Or.
