Team LRP Poland’s BMW has featured the number 90 since the squad joined the FIM Endurance World Championship in 2016.
Team LRP Poland’s S 1000 RR is identifiable on the track by its colours (black and yellow) and the number 90. The independent Polish team made their FIM EWC debut in 2016.
“90 wasn’t our first choice of number, but now it’s part of our DNA,” says LRP Poland founder and rider Bartlomiej Lewandowski. “When we started thinking about the number we’d use in FIM EWC races, we initially came up with 48 because 48 is Poland’s country code. But unfortunately it was already taken. Back then I was using the number 9 to race in the Polish Championship, because that’s my birth date and my lucky number, but 9 was taken too. So we decided to use the number 90, and we’ve used it ever since.”
Team LRP Poland now regularly feature among the Top 20 in FIM EWC races, and are targeting a solid result in the next race – the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans at the end of the August – with a new recruit. Bartlomiej Lewandowski and Dominik Vincon will be partnered by Poland’s Superstock 1000 champion Kamil Krzemień. The 20-year-old Polish rider also got himself noticed last season as part of Wójcik Racing Team’s Superstock squad.
