Leon Camier’s withdrawal as a result of an injury has led to a shake-up in the ranks of Team HRC and Musashi RT Harc-Pro Honda.
Honda has announced a reshuffle in the ranks of its two top teams. Following Leon Camier’s withdrawal as a result of a back injury sustained during last week’s tests, Team HRC has recruited Patrick Jacobsen to partner Takumi Takahashi and Takaaki Nakagami on the Honda #33.
The American rider, who is currently racing the FIM Superbike championship, had initially been earmarked for another Japanese Honda front-runner, Musashi RT Harc-Pro Honda. The squad has therefore called on French rider Randy de Puniet to step in for Jacobsen. De Puniet will be riding alongside Moto2 rider Dominique Aegerter and JSB1000 championship racer Ryo Mizuno. Aegerter and De Puniet climbed the third step of the Suzuka podium together last year with F.C.C. TSR Honda France.
