Team April Moto Motors Events: a smooth progression

Team April Moto Motors Events has remained humble despite its 8-point lead over Team SRC Kawasaki and YART Yamaha Official EWC Team and its 9-point lead over reigning champion Suzuki Endurance Racing Team – a feat private teams can usually only dream about.

And yet the team has much to boast about, including two wins in the Superstock Endurance World Cup in 2011 and 2013. They have quick, experienced riders (Gregg Black, Grégory Fastré and Alex Cudlin) and a highly motivated staff, and team manager Hervé Moineau is an old hand at endurance racing with four world championship titles under his belt, not to mention wins in prestigious races like the 24 Heures Motos and the Suzuka 8 Hours.

“We still have a long way to go, says Hervé Moineau, who’s keeping his feet firmly on the ground. We picked up second place at the 24 Heures Motos because we were able to seize our chance. In Portugal, race incidents worked in our favour, and so we came fifth. Statistically speaking the title is within our reach, but there’s no point getting carried away. I’d be happy if we finished on the FIM EWC world championship podium”. But he’s not downplaying his team’s performance. “We have a consistent bike, he adds, and we manage to set some pretty fast lap times considering it’s a 2015 Suzuki!”

A helping hand from DunlopTheir performance and loyalty to the Dunlop brand since 2009, have earned the team an added advantage at the Oschersleben 8 Hours later today. Team April Moto Motors Events will be kitted out for the race with the same tyres as top teams like Suzuki Endurance Racing Team and GMT94 Yamaha.

Team April Moto Motors Events will start the race at 2pm from 10th place on the grid.
