Team April Moto Motors Events, the FIM EWC 2016’s second runner-up, has set itself fresh and more ambitious objectives for the 2016-2017 season. After recently announcing a switch to Honda, the French private team has introduced its new team, featuring two of Endurance’s most successful riders: Matthieu Lagrive and Gregory Leblanc.

Four Endurance world champion titles, six Bol d’Or wins and one 24 Heures Motos victory for Matthieu Lagrive; five 24 Heures Motos wins and four Bol d’Or podium top spots for Gregory Leblanc, plus a GP 250 outing for both riders, whose solid comradeship – built up during their stint with SRC Kawasaki – netted them a win at the 24 Heures Motos in 2016. By bringing the highly talented Matthieu Lagrive and Gregory Leblanc on board alongside Gregory Fastré, the new-look Team April Moto Motors Events has every reason to set its sights even higher.

Winner of the 2001 and 2013 Endurance Cup; second runner-up of the FIM EWC championship, second place in last season’s 24 Heures Motos: no doubt about it, private team April Moto Motors Events is on a winning streak. The family-owned team – set up by Marc, Rémi and Julie Mothré and managed by four-time EWC champion Hervé Moineau – has also switched bikes to gear up for the coming season’s challenge, opting for the new Honda CBR1000RR, with the support of Paris dealership Honda Renneville Moto run by Pascal Laisney. The new Honda #50 (Dunlop-shod, as before) will be the focus of attention at the next FIM EWC race: the 24 Heures Motos, to be held at Le Mans on 15 and 16 April.
