Tati Team Beaujolais Racing has triumphed in the 2017-2018 FIM EWC Superstock World Cup. After taking the lead at the start of the season, the French squad kept up their winning streak all the way to the final race in Germany last weekend to carry off their first-ever World Cup.
Tati Team Beaujolais Racing began competing in the FIM EWC in 2014, and has featured among the top 5 squads in the Superstock class since 2015. The French Kawasaki-mounted team has shown great perseverance and made steady progress over the years. The FIM Superstock World Cup is a fitting recompense for Tati Team Beaujolais Racing’s mastery of the 2017-2018 season from start to finish.
Julien Enjolras, Julien Pilot and Kevin Denis seized control of proceedings right from the Bol d’Or, the first round of the season in September 2017. After finishing that race 8th overall to take the win in the Superstock class, Tati Team Beaujolais Racing had to contend with the uncertainties that endurance racing throws at all competitors. Despite a crash and electrical problems at the 24 Heures Motos, and running out of fuel at the 8 Hours of Slovakia Ring, the Kawasaki #4 managed to finish each race and hold on to top spot in the Superstock standings throughout.
At the 8 Hours of Oschersleben, their rivals piled on the pressure but the squad managed by Patrick Enjolras still took the 3rd step of the Superstock podium. Tati Team Beaujolais Racing skilfully managed the entire race to pick up the FIM Superstock World Cup for the first time, beating Junior Team Le Mans Sud Suzuki and Moto Ain.
Tati Team Beaujolais Racing also made a very fine showing in the EWC Dunlop Independent Trophy, featuring in the leading trio in every race this past season.
