Algeria have sacked France-based striker Abdelmalek Cherrad for a serious breach of discipline.
The troubled Bastia forward walked out of the camp before last weekend's African Cup of Nations win over Cape Verde Islands.
The 26-year-old is regarded as a troublemaker and left three games before the 2-0 victory for unspecified reasons, leading to his sacking for "bad behaviour and inadmissible infractions against the rules."
The player was sacked by club side Nice three years ago after going missing for over a month with his wife and child following a row with his brothers. The French-born striker has scored seven goals in 18 matches for Algeria.
