Standard Liege moved clear at the top of the Belgian first division after goals from Mohammed Tchite and Karel Geraerts gave them a 2-0 win at bottom club Lierse on Sunday. Standard, who have 38 points from 18 games, hold a two-point lead over Anderlecht after they drew 0-0 at La Louviere.
Champions Club Bruges are third on 35 points.
A ninth-minute goal from captain Gert Verheyen handed Bruges a 1-0 victory at Excelsior Mouscron on Saturday.
Lierse are six points adrift at the foot of the table while St Truiden are second from bottom after a 1-1 draw at SV Roeselare.
Racing Genk fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Lokeren, Charleroi were 1-0 winners at Germinal Beerschot and FC Brussels beat Beveren 3-1.
Cercle Bruges and Westerlo drew 2-2 while Ghent beat Zulte Waregem 2-1.
