Georgiev eyes Duisburg success
Duisburg midfielder Blagoy Georgiev, who has signed a one-year loan deal from Slavia Sofia, insists he has high hopes for next season.
The newly promoted side - who are known as a yo-yo club - have invested in their squad over the summer and Georgiev is confident he can help them secure their status in the Bundesliga this time round.
"The training is hard but we must prepare well for the German elite," the Bulgaria international told radio station Gong.
"Our ambitions are to remain in the Bundesliga and establish ourselves here. I think we have chances to achieve this as we have bought quite a lot of players and have potential.
"I have always said that I want to play in the German league. The discipline is very important here.
"Everything is well arranged, there are no problems and you can concentrate yourself on football.
"Of course, there will be a competition for my position in Duisburg but I hope to be a starter. I will try to prove that I deserve this in every game and training session."
