HUGE CHANCE
Another mistake! This time from Khedira, and the ball lands straight to Lewa in the box! Luthe rushes out quickly and is able to block the shot.

BAYERN FULL OF MISTAKES
Upamecano's pass is intercepted by Becker, and he crosses it to Awoniyi, who fails to control the ball.

UNION PRESSING
Union aren't afraid that they're the clear underdogs. They're pressing high up the pitch, and force Neuer in a technical mistake. They fail to capatilze and score a goal, though.

BAYERN ATTACKING EARLY
Lewandowski is of course acting as Bayern's target man, but Jackel has cleared any balls that are aimed for the striker so far.

NEW FORMATION FOR BAYERN
Due to injuries, and recent results, Bayern are playing with a back four rather than their tried and trusted back three. Let's see how it works out for them.

YESTERDAY BOCHUM V BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH ABANDONED AFTER ASSISTANT REFEREE HIT ON HEAD WITH CUP OF BEER
“Some idiot has thrown something towards the pitch and hit the linesman. The game has been delayed. Incredibly stupid and irresponsible behaviour, it has no place in a stadium! Idiot, idiot, idiot. Hopefully the linesman is OK,” said a statement from Borussia Monchengladbach.

UNION BERLIN ALSO IN POOR FORM
Similar to Bayern, Union Berlin haven’t had the greatest string of results as of late. Their 1-0 loss at Wolfsburg was followed by a frustrating 1-1 draw against Stuttgart, a team currently fighting relegation.
They currently sit eighth, six points off of Hoffenheim, who are currently occupying the final European spot.

CAN BAYERN GO BACK TO WINNING WAYS?
It’s hard to get on Bayern’s back given they’re still top of the league. However, given that they’ve drawn two and lost one in their last five, their points cushion at the top has been cut to four, giving second-place Borussia Dortmund a glimmer of hope.
Despite having a good record against Union Berlin, Bayern have some key players missing, with centre-back Niklas Sule out with a hamstring injury and Alphonso Davies still weeks away from match action.
Robert Lewandowski, who has scored over 35% of Bayern's goals this season, starts despite injuring his knee earlier in the week.
Should Bayern drop points today, they will extend their winless Bundesliga run to three matches for the first time since November 2018 under Niko Kovac.
