Cala ends Cardiff stay

The 25-year-old moved to Wales from Seville at the end of January, playing in seven Premier League games and an FA Cup tie last season.

However, this term he has made just one Championship appearance, as well as featuring in a couple of Capital One Cup fixtures.

Cala expressed his discontent at being overlooked by posting on Twitter: "I just want the situation to be sorted out and to play here or in another club ASAP!! Thank you for support."

He was expected to move on in the January transfer window but can now immediately seek out a new club as a free agent.
