Harry Kane brace gives Tottenham Hotspur perfect start against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley

A brace from Harry Kane helped Tottenham to a 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening in the Champions League, their first victory of the season at Wembley.
Kane released Son down the left wing for him to beat the unreliable Roman Burki at the near post, and after Andriy Yarmolenko's excellent, curling equaliser, the England forward got his sixth goal of September by beating Burki, again on his right side.
Dortmund thought they had an equaliser just before half-time, but the referee decided Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang was interfering for Christian Pulisic's attempted equaliser.
In the second half, Kane grabbed his second with a deflected shot from the edge of the box moments after Aubameyang had an apparently legitimate effort disallowed.
Dortmund faded quickly after that disappointment. However, Jan Vertonghen was sent off in injury time after catching Mario Gotze in the face with his arm. Despite that, Spurs, Kane and Pochettino finally have their Wembley win.
TALKING POINT
Should Jan Vertonghen have been sent off? As he span around to change position while in possession, his left arm naturally went up to guard the ball. It did not appear reckless, dangerous or deliberate, and a yellow card for that could have major implications for Spurs over the course of the group - he is a vital part of an excellent central defence.

MAN OF THE MATCH
Serge Aurier (Spurs): Showboating like this will cost him over the course of the season, but he adds a rare bit of flair that Spurs have been missing for some time. His dummy, ducking under a cross to lose his man and then collect the ball on the right to launch a counter attack, was a brilliant piece of quick-thinking. Harry Kane might have brought the goals, but Aurier was a joy.

KEY MOMENTS
4' - GOAL! Spurs 1-0 Dortmund. Son scores - Son is released down the left wing, behind the defence, by Kane. He runs into the box, jinks past the defender and slams a shot between the 'keeper and Burki's near post.
11' - GOAL! Spurs 1-1 Dortmund. Yarmolenko scores - He plays a one-two with Kagawa to move from the right wing and into the middle of the pitch, 25 yards out, and he curls a shot into the top corner.
17' - GOAL! Spurs 2-1 Dortmund. Kane scores - He picks up the ball a way out from goal. Putting his head down just over the halfway line he drives past one defender, then another, and slams a shot past Burki at his near post again.
45' - GOAL! NO! A scramble in the box sees Spurs find it impossible to properly clear it. After some head tennis, Pulisic stabs it home, but Aubameyang had been an interfering presence to his side, and the linesman quickly rules it out.
56' - GOAL! NO! AGAIN! Dortmund win a corner on the right wing. It's headed out and so Dahud gets the chance to clip the ball over the top for Aubameyang. He times his run brilliantly, and curls it around the 'keeper. The linesman raises his flag, but it's utterly wrong.

60' - GOAL! Spurs 3-1 Dortmund. Kane scores - Kane drifts onto the left and a swift pass from Eriksen finds him on the edge of the box. He takes a touch inside and has a shot deflected into the corner.
90+2' -RED CARD! Vergtonghen is off! He runs in midfield, trips over the ball, and turns around to his left. He sticks his arm out as he does so, and catches Gotze, and the referee gives him a second yellow.
KEY STAT
This was only the third win Spurs have enjoyed in 13 attempts at the new Wembley.
