KICK OFF! Dortmund get the contest underway.
Familiar foes all sort to lock horns once again. Cue that UCL anthem...
Los Blancos have scored in 37 consecutive CL matches but have not been at their best in La Liga so far this term. Zidane is demanding more from his side when they approach the final third. He told reporters: "I hope our strikers will score again but I have always maintained that it is the most important thing to create chances. We cannot be pleased with the amount of opportunities we have created lately. I believe in my players. But you have to show it every three days that you want to win the game. It is not always working out the way you want it to."
DID YOU KNOW? Dortmund have never lost on home turf against Los Blancs, notching up three wins and three draws. They have only failed to score in two of their last 26 home games in the CL.
Another Champions League match and another bagful of landmarks for CR7.
Peter Bosz: "We are in good form, they are an extraordinary opponent and I am happy for the game to be here... I really like to watch Real Madrid. They play nice football with players that have excellent technique. Ever since Zidane arrived, they have played like this and it is pleasing to see."
Real are without Karim Benzema and Marcelo but do recall Toni Kroos who missed the weekend win over Alaves with a rib injury. The German will feature in a midfield diamond as part of a 4-4-2 system while Nacho comes in at left back.
Borussia Dortmund have reacted to the weekend's German election results... in a quite brilliant way with a very clever video.
Zinedine Zidane: "We are looking forward to playing in the Champions League in a very nice stadium, where you can breathe the Champions League. It is difficult to play everywhere, but it is true that we have never won here. It is a challenge for us."
