Football news - 'The Champions League is Cristiano's playground': Fans react to Ronaldo's hat-trick

The Italian side invested heavily into signing Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer in an attempt to make all the difference in the Champions League. However, things started to look a bit dreary for the Bianconeri when they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their last 16 tie.

Everybody thought Juventus were down and out.

But they seemed to forget about the powers of Cristiano.

The return leg in Turin saw Juve dominate the first half, with Ronaldo scoring a header in the 27th minute to make things interesting. The Portuguese star (who else) then scored another spectacular header to make it 2-0 within minutes of the second period starting to level the scores on aggregate.

In the 86th minute, the Old Lady won a penalty and Cristiano Ronaldo (who else?) completed his hat-trick to send fans on Twitter into jubilation.
