That disallowed goal has given Napoli a shot in the arm. There's renewed energy and intensity to the Italians. They have woken up again. Barcelona are having to do some defending.

Ruiz is down! Lenglet put in a strong tackle on the Napoli midfielder and he's down on the Camp Nou turf. Might Gattuso be forced into a change here? Ruiz looks like he'll be fine.

Dangerous cross! The freekick delivery by Insigne into the Barcelona penalty box was a good one, but Pique watched it all the way and got up high to make an excellent clearing header.

That decision from the officials has given Napoli something of a lifeline. If they can somehow find a goal before the interval, they will give themselves a good platform.

By the letter of the law, that decision was the correct one from the officials. But that was a good example of why so many feel the handball rule is flawed right now. Did Messi gain any advantage?

GOAL DISALLOWED! After a long VAR check that lasted nearly two minutes, it's decided that the ball brushed Messi's arm as he brought down the pass and the goal is chalked off!

This had the potential to be a real banana skin for Barcelona, but you have to give thm credit for the way they have accelerated away from Napoli after a dodgy opening 10 minutes.

Ospina made an initial save from a shot, De Jong then played the pass to Messi at the back post and he took it down on his chest and clipped into the back of the net.

This has turned into a very solid performance from Barcelona when it really didn't look like being one in the first 10 minutes or so. Napoli have completely dropped out of this.

Is that the tie over? What an exceptional goal from Messi that was. Napoli haven't played that poorly, but they find themselves needing two goals to progress to the quarters.

It seemed that the opportunity had gone after he tripped inside the area after dribbling past three, but he gets back up and curls a left-footed strike past Ospina and into the far corner!

Gattuso is out on the touchline and demanding more from his Napoli players. The away side started the match really well, but they have dropped out of it since the opening goal.

There is a sense that if Napoli truly commit to getting in behind Barcelona, there is something for them here. They have been somewhat hesitant when they are in the final third.

Griezmann has been missing in action so far. There was a point where it seemed things were clicking for the Frenchman at Barca, but that was through the middle. He's out wide tonight.
