Two minutes added.
Atalanta have had a few moments in attack, but it's all come a bit too late. Alison and co will be very keen to secure another clean sheet here. It would be a big plus for Rhys Williams and Gomez too.
This has been a return to form for Liverpool. They've been having good results, digging out wins - but this has been superb. It's a great boost ahead of the clash with City at the weekend too.
Zapata is denied by Alisson once again. Liverpool clear the resulting corner and Salah races free. He aims a low shot towards the far corner, but sees his shot tipped wide.

Zapata drives past Gomez into the right side of the box and fizzes a low shot across goal that Alisson pushes away.

Salah tries to lob the keeper from 45 yards, but Sportiello back pedals to deny the Egyptian.
What a performance from Jota. He surely HAS to start v Man City on Sunday.

HT: Atalanta 0-2 Liverpool.
A penny for Gian Piero Gasperini's thoughts. His side have been outclassed for most of this half.
Not a good stat for Bobby fans!
Mane cuts inside his man and curls a 25-yard shot towards the far corner, but sees his fine attempt tipped past the post by Sportiello.
- GoalDiogo JotaLiverpool
GOAL! It's that man again. Jota takes down a high ball to the left of the area with a sensational first touch inside his marker and then duly rifles a low shot in at the near post with his next.
As it stands: Liverpool 9pts, Ajax 4pts, Atalanta 4pts, Midjtjylland 0.
Zapata saunters on to a long, diagonal ball, he cuts inside TAA and sees his thumping shot deflect on to the bar and over. The flag then goes up - he was offside, but it's still warning sign for the away side.

Atalanta look to respond. Muriel springs free on a counter attack, but Alisson again does enough to smother his driven shot.
STAT: Red-hot Jota becomes only the second player to score in his first two starts in the competition for Liverpool following Robbie Keane in 2008.
- GoalDiogo JotaLiverpool
GOAL! Jota does it again! The forward races on to Alexander Arnold's lovely pass, holds off his man and dinks it past the keeper. Sublime finish.
Muriel gets the better of Williams and Gomez but Alisson just about blocks the forward's weak shot. It almost wrong-footed the Brazilian, but he did enough to keep it out.
DID YOU KNOW? Since leaving Basel in January 2014, Mo Salah has played more minutes against Atalanta in all competitions without scoring than any other club (263). The Egyptian has featured in four games against La Dea for Fiorentina and Roma.
Mane spins on to Salah's pass but sees his 20-yard shot touched away by the keeper.
Djimsiti does brilliantly to divert Alexander Arnold's dangerous, low cross to safety. TAA looking sharp down that right for the away side.
LATEST: FC Midtjylland 0-1 Ajax
Atalanta deal with a right-wing corner after Salah had burst into the box and posed a few questions.
It's living up to the billing so far. The game is very open with both sides looking capable of exploiting the respective defences.
Almost a dream start for the visitors. Jota wriggles past his man and into the left side of the area, but can't slide his low shot past Sportiello.

- 1st Half
KICK OFF! Liverpool get this Group D contest underway.
Five to go, so let’s have some final words from Klopp before we immerse ourselves in the action. The Reds boss has no doubts his side could be in for a tricky evening. He said: “This is the biggest challenge we have in the Champions League so far. Atalanta are very difficult to play against. Slightly similar to Leeds in their approach. It will be a tough one.”
DUVAN DELIGHT: Duvan Zapata has been directly involved in six goals in five Champions League starts for Atalanta (four goals and two assists). The Colombian netted a double in La Dea's 2-2 draw against Ajax on matchday two.
A bit more on the teams. Liverpool make two changes from the 2-1 win over West Ham. Jota is in for Firmino while Rhys Williams takes the place of Nathaniel Phillips in what is his full Champions League debut. Joel Matip is fit again and named on the bench which could be good news for Sunday’s clash at Man City. As for Atalanta, they make two changes from their 2-1 victory at Crotone. Jose Luis Palomino returns at the back while striker Duvan Zapata comes in to the attack.
OPINION: Liverpool could be on the cusp of a dynasty, writes Mike Gibbons, and it is theirs to establish.
Elsewhere in this group, FC Midtjylland host an Ajax side missing some key personnel. Could this be their night?
Trent Alexander-Arnold: “Italian teams are really good defensively and well-organised and hard to break down. For us it's about finding a way to do that. I don't think it's against Italian teams we specifically struggle – and it's the first time we are facing Atalanta."
Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini: “Jurgen Klopp is a point of reference for all coaches, it is an honour for us to face them. These next matches will be fundamental, we face the strongest team in the group. It will be important for us to get points to gain an advantage over Ajax, at least in theory. Every game is important.”
Klopp on Jota, who starts in place of Roberto Firmino tonight: “(He) is at the best age, 23, already experienced. He's a really good boy and a really good signing. We never hold players back at the beginning, they just need time to adapt but I knew it wouldn't take long for him to adapt because of how Wolves play – intense.”
Atalanta have become a finely-tuned team under Gian Piero Gasperini, but they have not been without their troubles at the start of the 2020/21 season. With the help of Eurosport Italy’s Simone Eterno we took a look at how Atalanta have attempted to adapt and integrate new arrivals ahead of their Champions League clash with Liverpool.
Klopp on Atalanta: “Top players and top recruitment. Very good players and well-organised, and play a system with one hundred percent conviction. They use skills of individuals in incredibly smart ways.”
As we gear up for this one, why not catch up on the latest gossip from the continent via our Euro Papers video? Today's edition aptly involves Liverpool and sees the Reds linked to a Borussia Dortmund superstar.
