Great defending from Tomori who goes toe to toe with Carrasco and comes out on top. Brilliant.
Oooh, now Kessie has picked up a booking for pulling down Llorente. First of the night!

Diaz lays on the tricks before Tomori goes for goal from distance. This Milan side is oozing confidence right now.

Llorente does well to track Hernandez and make the tackle as the left-back surges into the Atletico half.
The noise inside the ground is deafening.
Atletico shout for handball at the other end as the ball pops up off Tomori´s hand...
Referee Cakir is told by the VAR to have a look but he says no already made his mind up...brilliant refereeing to ignore that and let common sense prevail. Never a pen - except maybe for last year.
Atletico cannot get out of their own hale at the moment and whenever they have the ball there´s a Milan body there to win it back.
The Spanish side have been second best so far...
The short corner is a complete mess and Atletico intercept. But Milan come again quickly...
There´s a real tempo to this game early on...the crowd are making sure of that.
Ibrahimovic watching on from the stands with the kind of imperious glare he´s known for.
AC Milan with the early pressure too as Bennacer turns and surges into the final third...and the home side wins a corner to crank up the volume even more.
The San Siro is buzzing.

LET´S GO
Huge letters read ´AC MILAN IS BACK´ in the crowd, and it´s hard to disagree. 2nd in Serie A, unbeaten in 11 league games, back in the Champions League.
After a difficult decade one of Europe´s great clubs is back to their best...
Settle in for a big one.

THUNDER WARNING
Thunder forecast tonight at the San Siro...
A pathetic fallacy for the drama ahead?

LAST TIME OUT
AC Milan lost a 3-2 thriller to Liverpool in the first round of matches, going 1-0 behind, then 2-1 ahead, before two more Liverpool goals gave the Reds all three points. But a great show at Anfield showed us all that Milan are back in business.
Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, were held at home to a goalless draw by Porto, with Suarez´s free-kick the closest the hosts came to a win.
So, both clubs looking for a win tonight.
WHO WANTS IT MORE.

TRIPPIER STARTS
Rumours linked the England man to Manchester United this summer but Simeone trusts him on the biggest occasions.
He lines up at right-back for Atletico tonight.
19:42
HEAD TO HEAD
This is just the third competitive meeting between the two sides, with the previous two coming in 2014 when Atletico knocked out AC Milan 5-1 on aggregate in the round of 16.
Feels like a lifetime ago, but Simeone is still knocking around and will hope for a repeat of either of their previous encounters tonight.

BIG NAMES ON THE BENCH
Well well. Atletico´s Griezmann starts this one on the bench alongside the likes of Thomas Lemar, Joao Felix and summer signing Rodrigo de Paul.
Meanwhile, AC Milan are without injured Ibrahimovic and kick things off with Olivier Giroud among the subs.
