Bayern Munich put five past Eintracht Frankfurt to win the DFL-Supercup to become the first team to win the trophy three years in a row.
Eintracht Frankfurt stunned the Bavarians to win the DFB-Pokal back in May but there was to be no repeat upset with a Robert Lewandowski brace sending Niko Kovac's men to the interval with a two-goal advantage.
The Polish striker completed his hat-trick early in the second half before Kingsley Coman (63) and Thiago Alcantara (85) put added gloss on an already polished performance.
It could have been six but Sandro Wagner contrived to put a Joshua Kimmich centre wide from inside the six-yard box in the final minute of normal time.
Bayern begin the defence of their Bundesliga title against Hoffenheim on August 24 while Frankfurt travel to Freiburg on August 25.
