Slovakia survived a late rally from Russia to secure a 2-1 win at Euro 2016 and blow Group B of Euro 2016 wide open.
The rank outsiders in a group also including England and Wales, Slovakia did the damage late in the first half.
First Vladimír Weiss, formerly of Manchester City, cut in from the left with 37 minutes on the clock to lash past Igor Akinfeev from Marek Hamsik's excellent ball before the Napoli man turned goal scorer, firing home a goal of the tournament contender on the cusp of half-time from Weiss' ball.
However, Russia ensured it was a nervous finish to the match when Denis Glushakov headed past Matus Kozacik with 80 minutes gone.
The result means Slovakia now have three points after two games, while Russia remain on a point. England face Wales in Lens on Thursday.
