Hello and welcome to LIVE updates of the Euro 2020 encounter between Russia and Denmark in Copenhagen. Both sides remain in the hunt to reach the last 16 with Group B finely poised, but the Danes know they must win having lost their first two matches. Kick off 20.00 BST.

Golovin suddenly bursts into life for Russia. He surges through the midfield and drifts beyond a challenge before hitting a 15-yard shot that Schmeichel blocks with his legs.

Denmark probe from side to side but end up having to go all the way back to Schmeichel.

A diagonal ball from deep searches for the run of Thomas Delaney but Miranchuk comes across to deny the Danish midfielder as he threatened to make inroads on the right side of the Russia area.

Safonov comes charging out of his area and screams at his defenders to get out of the way. He then proceeds to knee it out of play to ironic cheers from the crowd.

Denmark are making the early running here but there's been little of note in the attacking third as of yet.

We'll obviously be keeping tabs on Finland v Belgium and provide updates from that encounter. Indeed, the calculator will be out to work out any tricky permutations if need be!

CONTRASTING DANISH STATS: Denmark have only won two of their last 12 tournament matches at the EUROS (W2 D2 L8). However, the Danes have lost just four of their last 30 international matches in total (W17 D9 L4).

Simon Kjaer: "It is our mission to go out and ensure that we get through and I think we deserve it. The pressure, the expectations – we thrive under them. That is why we play football. There have been moments where we were under pressure, but we rose to the challenge, and we have to do that again."

Russia’s coach, Stanislav Cherchesov: "This is going to be our first away game in two major tournaments, and without our fans. However, it's not a problem. We haven’t used the word 'problem' for the past five years. It's just a situation, and we know how to deal with it. Our task is to do our job well and get the result."

Daler Kuzyayev: "I am more than sure that Denmark will put us under enormous pressure from the off, they'll have more possession and attack. But we are ready for this, ready to fight them back, we will stick to our tactics.  Everyone understands that there may not be many opportunities, so it is necessary to make most of them."

Kasper Hjulmand: "No matter what, we shall go out there and try to win the match on Monday. It is going to be an unbelievably hard match against Russia. They are a good team. They are coming to Parken [Stadium] with a result they can use for something. We shouldn't force anything. We all know how hard it is to force things, and we should keep a level head and avoid mistakes. It is going to be a good, long game again."

OTHER GROUP B PERMUTATIONS: Belgium are through and just need a draw to finish top of the pile. Russia will go through if they defeat the Danes or if they draw and Finland don’t win against Belgium. The Finns will reach the last 16 if they win, or if they draw and Denmark triumph v Russia. All clear with that?
