Portugal qualify for Euro 2020 with Ronaldo's 99th international goal putting the game beyond doubt.
Luxembourg played well and made life difficult for Portugal but the European champions will be playing their part in the tournament.
Ronaldo fouls Chanot and Luxembourg attack late on but the move breaks down.

He toe-pokes the ball in on the goal-line following Jota's shot which was parried by the goalkeeper.
Luxembourg are pushing for an equaliser with Portugal almost seemingly happy to soak up the pressure for now. The visitors know a spot at Euro 2020 is at stake right now.

Portugal have a free-kick on the edge of the box after Fernandes is fouled by Olivier Thill.
SUB! Portugal are starting a look a little too predictable now as Luxembourg make a sub. Barreiro Martins is off for Sinani.

Luxembourg are putting up a fight here as Moutinho has to stop Vincent Thill from making inroads into the box. Portugal are looking a bit nervy at the moment.
Ricardo's cross is blocked by Carlson as Portugal look to up the tempo a bit now.
Bernardo Silva's corner is played short to Fernandes but his delivery into the box is poor and the move breaks down.

Luxembourg have a corner which is whipped into the near post but Ronaldo heads clear.
It bounces back into the area and Rodrigues tries an audacious overhead kick which he fails to connect with.

Jans loses the ball in a central area as fatigue appears to be setting in the legs of the Luxembourg players.
Nevertheless they've been good today and certainly better than Lithuania were on Thursday.
Carlson stabs Pereira's cross behind so Portugal have another corner. This time Bernardo Silva plays it low to Fernandes but his shot is blocked almost as soon as he pulls the trigger.
GOOD EFFORT! Rodrigues is gifted some space on the left flank by Pereira. He cuts in and curls his shot on goal but he whips it over the bar! A good idea and the execution was so nearly there.
CLOSE! Pizzi's cross from the set-piece is met by Fonte at the near post but it ends up coming off his shoulder and narrowly wide!
CHANCE! Bernardo Silva's low shot from close range is blocked before Ronaldo tries to revive the attack and he wins Portugal a corner.
Turpel is down after Bernardo Silva steps into him while trying to do a 360 spin. The Luxembourgian midfielder is back on his feet and looks OK to continue.
We're back on! Can Portugal extend their lead or will Luxembourg spring a surprise?

A winning margin for Portugal who have not been too good this afternoon with Luxembourg threatening. Nevertheless Portugal are a goal up at the break.
ONE minute of added time at the end of this first half.
Almost disaster for Moris! Chanot passes back to the Luxembourg goalkeeper and Bernardo Silva almost chases it down into the net.
His clearance hits Silva but he can breathe a sigh of relief as he can grab the ball back!
Portugal in full control now after Fernandes sparks the visitors into life. That goal was vital for their confidence and as it stands, they are qualifying for Euro 2020.

GOAL! Bruno Fernandes gives Portugal what could be a priceless lead!
From seemingly out of nothing, he latches onto a pinpoint long ball from Bernardo Silva before driving his shot low into the bottom right corner!
Bernardo Silva's low cross finds Danilo at the near post, but his flick is claimed by goalkeeper Moris.
Ronaldo on the left crosses in to the far post and finds Andre Silva but he cannot bring it down before Carlson forces out Bernardo Silva on the opposite flank.
Pizzi has a go using the inside of his right boot on the edge of the box, but it lifts well over the bar.
Thill, who has had a great game so far, is fouled by Danilo and will now receive some medical treatment after the phase of play initially continued.
Half an hour gone and we're still goalless with Luxembourg surprisingly looking the better team so far.
Ronaldo shoots from range but his effort is wayward as he completely slices it. He's not had a great game so far on this sticky pitch.
SO CLOSE! The corner curled in is ducked by Ronaldo before bouncing in the box. Rodrigues rises up and gets his head on it, but it hits the roof of the netting!
Turpel's early ball from the right flank is cleared behind by Fonte. Really good play from Luxembourg.
Ronaldo puts a vicious low ball into the box but no one is there to apply the finishing touch.
Jans fouls Pizzi on the edge of the area which seems a bit harsh as it was a good clean tackle. Ronaldo will take the set-piece...
Luxembourg have a corner but it's straight into the arms of Patricio. Portugal counter but the move breaks down when Ronaldo's loose pass goes astray.
Thill tries to tee up Turpel so that he can unleash a strike on goal, but the ball goes just behind him.
Luxembourg have been very impressive in these opening 20 minutes and are doing more than just competing right now.
Pizzi makes a lunging challenge on Skenderovic and he appears to be in some discomfort, but he's back on his feet now and the Portugal midfielder gets away with one there.

CHANCE! Luxembourg counter which Thill hits from inside the box, but his shot takes a deflection and loops up and into the arms of Patricio.
Luxembourg have started well here on the bobbly pitch. Portugal have not got into a real rhythm yet.
SAVE! Ronaldo shifts the ball onto his right boot then back onto his left before driving a low strike on goal which Moris in goal can get his body behind.
Unselfish play by A Silva there as he looked to have a clearer chance on his hands.

CHANCE! Luxembourg have started brightly as Jan's cross finds DeVille, but the powerful forward's header flies over the bar!
This pitch is terrible as we see Chanot slide in to prevent Andre Silva from bursting forward down the left flank.
Portugal knocking the ball around comfortably as Luxembourg sit deep in their 4-5-1 shape. Ronaldo is dispossessed by Skenderovic in the central area of the pitch.
First minute and we already have a Portugal free-kick in a dangerous position which Ronaldo will take. He shoots... but it's straight into the wall.
And with the national anthems and team photos out of the way... we are underway in Luxembourg!
The teams make their way out of the tunnel with Ronaldo looking very relaxed as he leads the Portugal side, dressed in white today, out on a day when - really - they should be qualifying for the Euros.

Portugal boss Fernando Santos has made THREE changes from the side that beat Lithuania 6-0 on Thursday.
Raphael Guerreiro comes in left-back, Danilo replaces Ruben Neves and Andre Silva takes the place of Gonçalo Paciencia up front.
He loves it but will Luxembourg's defence be loving life by 4pm today?
Luxembourg boss Luc Holtz: ”Many Portuguese live in Luxembourg. The Josy Barthel stadium has been sold out for a long time.
"It will be a festival of football. We are not afraid of the European and Nations League champions.
"I promised Serbia that we will score a point [laughs]. We will try not to play as defensively as in the first half in Belgrade.”
Luxembourg have scored in each of their four previous home games in 2019 and, although they cannot qualify for the Euros as they sit on four points, they should prove a sterner test than Lithuania did on Thursday evening.

Accompanying Ronaldo in Portugal's frontline today is Bernardo Silva and Andre Silva. Not a bad ensemble.

He scored a hat-trick against Lithuania for A Seleção last time out and is simply in scintillating form for his national team, scoring 98 goals for Portugal in 163 games, including 13 in his last seven.
Only Iran's Ali Daei has scored more international goals with 109. Today he could reach the landmark of 100 goals for his national team.
