Europa League semi-final draw: Arsenal v Atletico Madrid, Marseille v Red Bull Salzburg
Updated 13/04/2018 at 11:46 GMT
Arsenal have been drawn against favourites Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi-finals, while Marseille will face Red Bull Salzburg.
Arsene Wenger’s side will host Atletico in the first leg on May 26 before travelling to Madrid in the return leg a week later.
Meanwhile, Marseille welcome Salzburg for their first leg before heading to Austria the following Thursday.
The Gunners secured their passage into the last four on Thursday night after a 2-2 draw at CSKA Moscow helped them win the tie 6-3 on aggregate.
Arsenal are looking to win their first European title under Arsene Wenger, while victory would also seal a place in the Champions League next season.
In a similar situation to Manchester United last year, Arsenal have opted to focus on the Europa League as their most-likely route to the Champions League.
The gamble paid off for United, who beat Ajax 2-0 last May and finished sixth in the Premier League. Likewise, Arsenal are currently sixth with six games to go, 13 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham.
