The tie pitches former Arsenal playmaker Alexander Hleb against his old club – the two sides met in last season’s groups stages, with the Gunners putting 10 goals past the Belarusian side over two games.
Elsewhere, 2013 winners Chelsea have been drawn against Malmo, managed by former Manchester City forward Uwe Rosler, while Celtic have been handed a tie against Valencia, who dropped down from the Champions League but sit just five points off the relegation zone in Liga.
In the tie of the round, five-time winners Sevilla take on Lazio while Eintracht Frankfurt, who won Lazio’s Group H with six wins from six, face Shakhtar Donetsk.
Napoli, who were squeezed out of the Champions League by Liverpool on matchday six, begin their quest for Europa League glory with a tie against FC Zurich.
The first legs will be played on February 14 with the return ties set for February 21.
