That's it. An impressive performance from Arsenal who started going for the win and quickly fought their way level. A third was pleasant, but they had shown more steel in the first half than they had across the whole of the first leg.
- Yellow cardHamari TraoréStade Rennais
Traore is the next one to have his name taken as things get a wee bit desperate.
- Yellow cardSead KolašinacArsenal
Kolasinac gets himself a yellow card
Five minutes of added time are indiquées.
A Cech free kick bounces all the way to the 'keeper at the other end. Rennes have one last heave, perhaps.
- OffAaron RamseyArsenal
- OnLucas TorreiraArsenal
Torreira is on to add yellow cards to the midfield.
Rennes are continuing to press with energy but so far, they don't have the talent.
Iwobi picks out Ramsey's run into the box, he rolls it over to Aubameyang to his right, and the forward scuffs the shot away from the goal. That should have been it.
Through on goal, Aubameyang nudges the ball wide of the oncoming Koubek, and it trundles just wide of the post.
- Yellow cardBenjamin BourigeaudStade Rennais
Around 10 minutes to go for Rennes to find another. Bourigeaud is booked for a touch of frustration. Bof!
- OffBenjamin AndréStade Rennais
- OnJames Lea SilikiStade Rennais
Siliki is on from the bench.
With 15 minutes remaining, Arsenal are in control. They are going through, but just one goal would force extra time.
- GoalPierre-Emerick AubameyangArsenal
GOAL! Arsenal 3-0 Rennes. Aubameyang scores - That's it for the match, you'd imagine. Kolasinac is found out on the left, running into the box to receive the ball, and he squares it to give Aubameyang an easy chance to finish at the back post.
Iwobi has the chance to settle the tie. Bringing down a high ball on the edge of the box, he fizzes in a low just just past the post.
- OffMesut ÖzilArsenal
- OnHenrikh MkhitaryanArsenal
Mkhitaryan is on, as is Iwobi. Ozil and Lacazette are off.
A spell of pressure for Rennes now on the left of the pitch, but Arsenal are sitting well back and win it back Lacazette wallops an early cross, almost out of desperation than real volition, and it floats out.
Iwobi is warming up on the sidelines.
Arsenal have had 53% of the ball so far, which does to some extent reflect that Rennes are hardly panicking at the moment.
Sarr receives the ball on the inside right from Niang, and his low shot drills against the sliding Kolasinac. There's a corner, but they get as much from it as you or I might get from reading the Hobbit.
Half an hour left to go, and Da Silva hoiks away a cross from the left into the stands.
It's all getting a little bit frothy now, as Kolasinac is introduced into Andre's studs on the left wing. The ref lets it go, no yellow card, and is basically waiting until someone gets seriously hurt to calm things down. That might be fun to watch but is not really what he's there for.
- Yellow cardClément GrenierStade Rennais
Grenier is booked, presumably for asking if the ref might like to do the job he is employed to carry out.
Lacazette goes in late on Bensebaini, catching him late as he clears late. It's an obvious yellow, if not especially dangerous, and Lacazette should really be off.
Xhaka is caught by Sarr in the Arsenal half as he releases the ball to Monreal, and is down for a moment.
Grenier, I think, steps on Ramsey's toes in midfield and escapes a booking. Mustafi concedes a foul from the free kick.
Arsenal are again looking like the most dangerous side overall so far, but there's enough of the rickety haphazard nature that we've come to expect from them to keep Rennes interested.
Grenier darts into the box from the left, picks out Niang on the edge of the area, and he drills in a low shot against the post.
- 2nd Half
We go again.
- End of 1st Half
That's the end of the half, see you in 15 minutes.
Bourigeaud sends in a high cross to nobody, and it's one of Rennes' best chances of the half.
There will be four more minutes of *this*.
Lacazette gets down the left and his attempts to concede a cross end with a corner conceded.
Arsenal fans are angered by the referee giving an obvious foul to Rennes.
Ramsey is down after tangling with Andre, trying to pull him down and injuring himself in the process. He appears to have ARRGHed his right knee.
Ramsey is teed up for a shot at goal from just inside the box by Lacazette, and he sweeps a shot at goal stopped by the 'keeper.
Kolasinac is flagged for offside for an overlap run found by Lacazette, who delayed a fraction too long.
Aubemeyang stretches behind to reach a cross from Ozil on the right, delivered with his left, and his bicycle kick slices miles wide.
- Yellow cardAlexandre LacazetteArsenal
Andre is down, absolutely cleaned out by Lacazette. He could have been off, to be honest, but the referee seems lenient so far.
Aubameyang is scutted on the right wing by a trip from Andre, and he wins a free kick.
All Arsenal have to do now is not eff up completely in a calamitous display of cowardice.
Aubameyang is penalised for boshing into Da Silva, catching him with his studs by accident as he went for a header.
Niang chases pass down the right and can only lunge towards in an attempt to keep it in. It doesn't work.
Corner for Rennes on the left. It is wildly overhit and out for a throw on the right wing.
Ben Arfa floats a spinning ball over the top for Bourigeaud, and it's just a touch too heavy.
- Yellow cardMexerStade Rennais
Mexer is given a yellow card for a high challenge on Lacazette on the halfway line. He caught him with an elbow in the head, so fair enough.
Grenier is hacked from behind by Monreal, and he should be booked. He is isn't.
- GoalAinsley Maitland-NilesArsenal
GOAL! Arsenal 2-0 Rennes. Maitland-Niles scores - Aubameyang swaps passes with Ramsey - who was aiming for Kolasinac is an offside position - and runs to the touchline. He picks out a cross to the back post, where Maitland-Niles thunders in a header.
Lacazette is flagged offside down the right wing.
Arsenal have had two-thirds of the ball so far, which is almost 70%.
Arsenal only need one more to get through, so they can keep their cool and wait for decent openings at the moment. Kolasinac sends in a tempting low cross which is hacked away.
Aubemeyang chases down the inside right and wins a corner, and the ball is headed away for now.
Rennes have the ball on the right again. A chance for a long throw now, but it's taken short and Arsenal win it to break forward.
Sarr chases a pass over the top on the right wing and it runs out of play.
- GoalPierre-Emerick AubameyangArsenal
GOAL! Arsenal 1-0 Rennes. Aubameyang scores - Maitland-Niles comes down the right, cuts onto his left, finds Ramsey, and he turns in a low cross for Aubameyang to side-foot home.
Rennes are pressing in Arsenal's half, with plenty of smoke coming from the away fans.

The match gets underway.
The players will be out soon, so send me your predictions.
Arsenal bodied Manchester United at the weekend, taking them closer to Spurs and away from United, which has taken the urgency away from their Europa League challenge. As they say in the Sopranos though, nobody really knows anything. Stay tuned for my prediction in five minutes!

There is plenty of attacking talent on the pitch for Arsenal as they chase goals, though they could be held back by the prosaic Aaron Ramsey.
Good evening again. Rennes have Ben Arfa and Niang up front, so should be able to get at least one if they target Koscielny today, and a 3-1 advantage means they could simply sit back and wait for space on the break.
Good evening everyone. Let's get heavily into this football. Arsenal are missing Sokratis because he is suspended for clownish tendencies demonstrated in Leg 1 (1, here, indicates the first).
