GOOD POSSESSION FROM UNITED
Moving it nicely about down the left, Casemiro contributing a pleasant flick. But then Ronaldo tries a cross and the ball flies behind.

NOW OMONIA COUNTER
And for a moment, it looks like Fabiano is away! But Lindelof catches up and eases back to De Gea.

ANTONY FEEDS IN RONALDO DOWN THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BOX
And he uncorks a low shot headed for the far corner that Fabiano beats away. Good save.

OMONIA ARE DEFENDING DEEP
Limiting United's space. I wonder if this will be a game for Antony, whose ability to beat men and swing in quality crosses might help them break through.

MARTINEZ IS STRONG IN WINNING A HEADER
Then Bruno and Sancho exchange passes before the latter drags a shot wide of the near post.

I'M A LITTLE SURPRISED
Tyrell Malacia started tonight. He had a tough afternoon against City and Luke Shaw has looked decent lately; I thought he might come in, because he's also better in attack and in the air when defending set-pieces.

UNITED KNOCK IT ABOUT
But slowly.

AWAY WE GO!
The camera is ridiculously high up.

A few clowns disrupt it. What is wrong with people.
17:45
There'll be a minute's silence for the victims of the Indonesia stadium tragedy.
17:42
The ground is rammed and seriously noisy.
17:41
Here come the teams!
17:38
And elsewhere. The money in the Premier League is just ludicrous.
17:35
Goodness me.
17:32
Omonia are, of course, managed by Neil Lennon - who replaced Henning Berg - and wants to keep his players calm, which he acknowledges is a tricky task. But he knows that, though they have good players, you don't know which United will turn up and he's picked players with legs and good international experience to have a go at them.

17:28
On Ronaldo, I can see why he's playing tonight - Omonia have five at the back and three in front, so will defend deep. That means his lack of pace will be less of an issue, but his nose for a goal will be helpful - though I imagine Ten Hag will want to play Anthony Martial at the weekend and in future, he just isn't fit enough yet.
17:27
What I'm saying that Casemiro should've played as well as McTominay, with someone more attacking - probably Christian Eriksen, good though he is and has been, missing out.
17:23
It does seem like he gets at least part of the problem against City - his players weren't calm enough nor angry enough. But their manager was also an issue - United aren't good enough to play city at their own game, so needed to a stiff midfield to protect the back four, allowing the front players to do their thing.
17:21
Speaking to BT, Ten Hag reiterates his mantra that his team need to win every game, wanting his team to take the next step in its development. Ronaldo is getting fitter, he says, and is asking that his players balance patience and intensity, saying that when they do, "the opponent cannot follow us".
17:19
Erik ten Hag makes three changes from the team that lost on Sunday. At the back, Raphael Varane is injured, so Victor Lindelof comes in; Scott McTominay is replaced by Casemiro; and Cristiano Ronaldo replaces Marcus Rashford.
